The research dealt with the religious tolerance policy of Alexander the Macedonian in his expansion towards the Near East (Egypt and Iraq) as a model during the period (332-331 BC).

The research consists of five axes, the first axis entitled (The origin and personality of Alexander the Macedonian) Alexander the Macedonian was born in the year (356 BC).

In the city of Pella, the capital of Macedonia, he inherited courage, boldness, strength and valor from his father.

He inherited from his mother her beauty and gentleness.

He took charge of matters in Macedonia after the murder of his father (Philip II).

During a short period of his rule, which lasted for about eleven years of establishing a sprawling global empire that included the three continents of the world, Africa, Asia and Europe, the second axis entitled (Alexander the Macedonian conquests towards the east, a divine message) there was a role for the strong Greek army, and the unification of Greece since the time of the father Alexander Philip, who was credited with enabling Alexander to carry out his conquests towards the East, as Alexander portrayed that his campaigns towards the ancient Near East were a divine message, and what reinforced this tendency in Alexander was his firm belief that his dynasty dates back to Heroes and demigods Alexander's genius also appeared in those campaigns towards the east through good organization, mobilization and planning, as well as unifying the empire and controlling power in a firm manner and with a religious policy that brings together under its banner the different races that included his state and its capital is Babylon; since the rule of such an empire requires from the point of view of Alexander to create for them the idea of the one God to whom they invoke, to whom the authority and the state belong, which is represented entirely in the creation of a political unit that brings together the different races through the “personality of the king, to whom every part of the empire is bound by sacred loyalty.

” Peoples differing in their religion and culture by following a policy of religious tolerance towards those different peoples of Babylonians, Asians, Elamites, Egyptians, Syrians, Jews, Greeks and other peoples.

In the open areas of the ancient Near East, the policy of religious tolerance that Alexander pursued in Egypt through respect for The Egyptian gods and his affiliation with the god Amun and offering sacrifices to the Egyptian gods, the fourth axis entitled (The Policy of Religious Tolerance Followed by Alexander the Macedonian in Controlling Iraq (Babylon)).

During the rebuilding of many Babylonian temples that were destroyed during the reign of the Persian king Achaemenid (following the destruction of Ahasuerus) of the Achaemenid dynasty, the fifth axis entitled (Alexander's influence on the beliefs of the East in Egypt and Babylon) Alexander's influence on the beliefs of the East in Egypt and Babylon The rituals and the restoration of the temples that he raised to the gods of the two countries, Egypt and Babylon, in response to an urgent need in himself and to satisfy his sensitive religious sense.

If some of the influences of the monotheistic tendency in religion, which was popular at the time in Greece, reached Alexander at the hands of his teacher, Aristotle, as he was influenced by the inherited Babylonian beliefs, it proved him in his global tendency.
