The media is one of the pivotal social authorities that contribute to shaping the social mindset and directing public opinion through its channels and media fields that shape and shape news on the one hand and re-create attitudes and trends on the other hand.

The media contributes to our present time in shaping all the various cultural matters that affect the affairs of individual life And all other facts and developments that appear within the community.

The media has been and still has the main role in producing what has been termed "image culture", meaning that the media is one of the areas that reproduce and market societal culture through its multiple channels or tools, as it contributes directly to the formulation of social awareness and attitudes towards accidents and social, political and religious facts, which means It contributes to the production of social discourse affecting multiple societal spaces.

The media has contributed, over multiple eras, to the formulation of an ideological rhetoric, either negatively or positively according to its own orientations and interests, as it either contributes to generating a social crisis and promotes extremist rhetoric about an issue or group or contributes to addressing extremism, especially religious and political extremism that the Arab region suffers from, especially Iraq in particular.

The goals of what we seek is to reveal the mechanisms and forms of extremism in light of the media discourse and its channels or domains by revealing methods that depend on raising extremist tendencies or violent behavior in one way or another.

Moreover, our research seeks to unveil the cultural stereotypes that produce the image of the other, religiously or religiously, and how it contributes to destabilizing human security within society.

Between this goal and that, the theoretical approach that we seek to illustrate is to monitor the contexts of the production of the culture of extremist images within the theoretical developments of the sociologist by: Jürgen Habermas in order to understand the communicative act in the shadow of the media space and its limitations.

We will address all these issues through two axes: First: image culture and the manufacture of extremism.

Second: The sociology of the media and the culture of extremism.
