The current research aims to identify the self-complexity and strategies of coping with pressures among nursing staff according to the variable of sex (males, females), and the correlation between the two variables, and to know the extent of the contribution of coping strategies to stress in explaining the variation in the self-complexity of nursing staff, and to achieve the objectives of the research the researchers By constructing a self-complexity scale consisting of (41) items, the researchers adopted the stress coping strategies scale of (Carver et al.

, 1989), which was adapted to the Iraqi environment (Kadhimiya Muhammad Ghanem Assal 2018) consisting of (60) items, and the researchers extracted the psychometric properties from Validity and stability of the two scales, the researchers applied the two scales in their final form to the basic research sample of (200) male and female nurses working in quarantine centers in Baghdad governorate, and the researchers analyzed the data using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and the results showed the following: The nursing staff have High complexity, and nursing staff use strategies to confront the problem, and the strategy of social support at a high level, while the strategy of avoidance And the strategy of confronting emotions at a medium level, meaning that all nursing staff are ready to use appropriate strategies to deal with stress.

And that the coping strategies are linked with the self-complexity in a direct relationship, that is, the nursing staff with high self-complexity are the best in facing pressures and using direct strategies to confront pressures.

Which the researchers reached and put a number of recommendations and proposals on the basis of the results of the research.
