The research deals with the analysis and study of a monument, recently discovered at Nāʿiṭ in Amran Governorate, commemorating the victories of its owner in a Shabaean inscription of two combat scenes in an attempt to extrapolate its linguistic, historical and archaeological connotations.

One of the more significant findings to emerge from this research is the occurrence of words that are rarely mentioned in the available Musnad inscriptions, and that the homeland of the Ḥṣman tribe may be the city of Nāʿiṭ.

Taken together, these findings suggest that the two inspected scenes are considered, to the best of the researcher's knowledge, the first of their kind in the available literature on the sculptures of Yemen before Islam.
