The level of mental habits of postgraduate students.

The significance of the differences in the habits of the mind according to the variables of the type (male, female), specialization (scientific, humanistic) among postgraduate students.

The researcher has adopted the relational descriptive approach in his research.

The sample of the research consists of (276) male and female students from postgraduate students at Anbar University for the academic year 2019-2020, and the sample was chosen according to the Stephen Thompson equation.

The researcher depends on the scale of mental habits of Costa and Kallick (2000).

It consists of (16) mental habits, with (96) items with three alternatives (always, sometimes, rarely).

After completing the application of the two measures on the participants of the sample under the supervision of the researcher, the results show: .

The presence of habits of the mind of postgraduate students at a high level.

There is no statistically significant difference according to the gender variable (male, female) in the scale of habits of mind.

-There is a statistically significant difference according to the variable of specialization (scientific and human) in the scale of mental habits in the following habits: (thinking flexibly, thinking about thinking, seeking for accuracy, applying previous knowledge in new situations, thinking and communicating clearly and precisely, responding with astonishment and fear, having responsible risks, finding humor) for the benefit of scientific specialization.
