This study deals with the image of the Palestinian woman in her various social affiliations through the journey made by the British traveler Mary Rogers to Palestine in the mid nineteenth century, 1855-1859 AD.

The study included an introduction and seven sections.

First section dealt with the roles of women and their tasks.

Second section reviewed customs and traditions.

Third one talked about slaves.

Fourth one was on polygamy issue.

Fifth section dealt with women’s fashion.

Sixth one exhibited the aesthetical taste of the Palestinian women.

Finally, the seventh section was about the exotic and the unfamiliar images related to women.

The study relied on the historical and descriptive analytical methodologies.

The study concluded with a number of results, the most important of which are: the Palestinian women, especially those in the rural areas, are having basic and significant roles in the Palestinian society for what they do for their families.

Also, the Palestinian women did not possess a freedom outside the usual customs and traditions in the Palestinian society.
