Hafiz Abu Alhasan Ali bin Almufadhal Almaqdisi (611 AH) is one of the greatest Muslim experts who has contributed in the late sixth century to the field of hadith and its different sciences.

Yet, not much study and research have been conducted about him to explore his efforts and discuss his ideas.

There are significant statements and views of Hafiz Abu Alhasan Ali bin Almufadhal Almaqdisi regarding the authentication of prophetic tradition or disclosure of weak hadiths, distinguishing the accepted ones, discrediting and endorsing hadith narrators.

This paper studies the efforts and statements of Hafiz Abu Alhasan Ali bin Almufadhal Almaqdisi in evaluating hadith narrators as known in the field of discrediting and endorsement of the science of the prophetic tradition.

The inductive approach has been used in the study to collect his statement from his own books as well as other books that mention his views with regard to discrediting and endorsement.

Findings of the study include exploring some important biographical information that was skipped by those who have studied his works, and the study has also listed figure - names of the Hafiz Abu Alhasan Ali bin Almufadhal Almaqdisi’s scholars and disciples that were not known to the present literature.

Gathering Hafiz Abu Alhasan Ali bin Almufadhal Almaqdisi’s statement about discrediting and endorsement is another important result of the study.
