This research deals with the legal regulation of outer space, having become the scene of military competition among the great Powers with the aim of controlling, and exploiting it for their own interest in full contravention of the interests of other states.

This has forced the international community - represented by the United Nations body and its international organs, to establish such rules and principles, which have mitigated the risk of depriving small states of the freedom to explore and exploit space.

Such a right has been guaranteed by the principle of the freedom to explore and exploit outer space, which was equally given to all States.

Small states may be deprived of accessing to part of the outer space before another state reaches it.

These principles and rules provide for the making of outer space as the common heritage of all humanity, so that no state can control it or claim full or partial ownership of it.

The outer space may also be as a source of security threat that can be used in acts of aggression.

The law has stipulated the principle of peaceful use which prohibits any usage of outer space in acts of aggression.
