The research dealt with the responsibility of the state in market management through Shari’a texts and some practical applications based on the words of scholars of Islam in expounding the details of the following investigations: the first section discussed the importance of the state administration of the market.

This importance is a necessary motive for the state to assume market administration in addition to the Shari’a evidence.

The second section determined the necessity of state management in terms of legitimacy, and its forms in Islamic law are as explained hereafter.

First: enacting legislation that regulates people’s dealings and achieves public interest.

Second: establishing the system concerned with practical procedural organization.

Third: appointing the entity that manages the material things that market people need to facilitate their transactions.

As for the third section, it drew on Shari’a rules and controls regarding the State Administration of the market, as well as the most important of these rules which is the ruler’s action according to public interest.

This was followed by an account on the most important state controls in managing the market through the reports of scientists.
