This study attempts to detect cultural patterns, especially the implied, in the novel Tarmi Besharar by the Saudi novelist Abdo Khal.

It adopts the cultural criticism method and its terminology.

It is divided into: an introduction, a preface and two main sections.

The first section deals with the sexual virility and domination pattern; and the second section deals with the pattern of moral corruption.

The study concludes: contrary to its rhetorical structures, the novel incorporates into its linguistic structure other cultural patterns worthy of contemplation and study that have gathered in the unconscious of the community, becoming a cultural distinction for it.

Our readings of implicit patterns contribute to understanding the psychological structures and the cultural and ideological background, which helps us in forming clearer images of the dominant culture’s implied and its control over those structures.

The cultural pattern usually takes the form of the environment that creates it and the social contexts that generate it, so that each environment has its own cultural pattern which expresses its apparent structures in general and implicit structures in particular
