This paper seeks to study the impact of the blindness complex on drawing the main character in the story of "Rasheed Al-Haidari" by Abdo Khal, trying to study the psychology of the protagonist of the story (Rasheed).

In order to reveal the effectiveness of his "blindness" complex and its effect on his character from the viewpoint of the narrator, and to know how the hero dealt with this complex in the various stages of his life, and how it affected himself and his behavior.

The paper has been divided into two sections, the first deals with the formation phase of Rasheed’s personality, and the second analyzes the stage of regression, recoil and annihilation.

The paper used the psychological method to demonstrate this and reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The narrator built his story on the basis of psychoanalytic data, especially when Freud analyzed the character of Oedipus.

Rasheed's blindness complex had an effect on his behavior and perceptions, and the research was able to find out how the hero overtakes it according to these data and elements .
