In this era we can not ignore the role of social networks in the phenomenon of extremism in terms of combating or helping to spread, where these sites have a growing role in shaping the trends of the public in general and young people in particular towards the issues and problems that affect society, and the phenomenon of extremism is one of the topics that began It is highly regarded by users of social networks on the one hand and by researchers and learners for the role of these sites in shaping public attitudes on the other.

The phenomenon of extremism has a clear impact on Islamic societies in general and Arab societies in general.

Through which terrorist groups head towards society to achieve their goals and objectives, as well as the recruitment of these terrorist groups to social networking sites in spreading their ideas among young people and trying to recruit them within their formations through their media sites on social networks.

Formation of the views of university students towards the phenomenon of extremism, whether positively or rejectively, which is perceived by its dangers or negative composition represented in their terrorist acts and serving them for the purposes of these extremist organizations.

This study included three aspects The second topic deals with the conceptual framework of the study (the concept of extremism and its relation to other concepts such as violence, extremism and terrorism), and the concept of social networking sites, types and how to employ them By radical groups in their work for the purpose of reaching the community in general and the youth in particular (while the third topic dealt with the results of the field study).
