The current study aimed to reveal the relationship between academic procrastination among al-Istiqlal university students and satisfaction with studying by them.

the sample of the study consisted of (230) male and female students who were chosen by the simple random method.

the researcher used Abu-Ghazaleh measure to measure academic procrastination which consists of (21) items and the measure of satisfaction with studying which consists of (24) items.

the results of the study revealed that the degree of procrastination and satisfaction with studying among al-Istiqlal university students was medium.

the results also pointed out that there were no statistically significant differences in the mediums of the academic procrastination among al-Istiqlal university students according to the variables of gender and academic year.

however, there were statistically significant differences according to the variable of the cumulative average for the benefit of the students whose averages were (65-74.9).

the results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in satisfaction with studying among the students according to the variables of gender, academic year and cumulative average.

the results also revealed that there is a negative relationship which is statistically significant between the mediums of academic procrastination and statisfaction with university studying among al-Istiqlal university students.

the researcher recommended that it is necessary that those who are responsible should take interest in searching for the causes which motivate students to procrastinate and to conduct more research which investigates the reasons for procrastination and the problems which face the students.
