This study aimed at identifying the degree of availability of soft leadership skills and the reality of adopting strategic alertness at al-Aqsa university, as well as identifying the nature and direction of the relationship between soft leadership skills and building organizational reputation, as well as revealing the intermediate role of strategic vigilance in the relationship between soft leadership skills and organizational reputation.

to achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers built a tool for the study, which was a questionnaire distributed to the sample of the study that is out of (131) of the employees of the administrative positions of the university the study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: soft leadership skills, strategic vigilance, and organizational reputation are highly available at al-Aqsa university.

there is a statistically significant effect of the availability of soft leadership skills on building organizational reputation and adopting strategic directions the results of the study revealed that the strategic vigilance plays a role in the relationship between the availability of soft leadership skills and organizational reputation.

the study gives a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: the need to adhere to the soft leadership skills and disseminate them at all administrative levels, and the need to continue the university to activate and develop its image and positive position among the society and its employees and students.

as well as working to acquire and develop an effective system of strategic vigilance, which helps them to acquire the useful information that gives them the advantage of competitive advantage.
