In view of the seriousness of organized crime, the criminal legislations had to seek for mechanisms to control it, and develop the traditional mechanisms, which appropriate with the gravity of this crime; one of these mechanisms is the endorsement the effective and appropriate protection for cooperators with justice to encourage individuals to cooperate with the authorities.

Such a protection in its substantive and procedural form, but it is still insufficient to provide effective and appropriate protection to justice collaborators, encouraging them to move forward to cooperation with authorities, in view of some legal issues and financial constraints which they represent obstacles for effective protection to control the organized crime.

In the draft law on the protection of witness, informants and victims; the Egyptian legislator tried to present some solutions to these obstacles.

He published a balance between the interest of the criminal cooperating with justice, informants, witness, and victim, as determined the interest of the accused in exercise his right to defense and the protected interest in hiding his identity by presenting the statements of the protected person using modern technology.

In spite of that, such protection still has many constraints at the level of financial capabilities and community culture, and other legal problems.
