تعود العلاقات بين شعوب منطقة الخليج العربي وشبه القارة الهندية إلى عصور ما قبل التاريخ، وتشكل المصالح الاقتصادية الدافع الحصري وراء هذهِ العلاقات.

الملخص EN

India is the world's second most populous country.

Its population counts more than I .2 billion.

They are divided into the various religious, sectarian, ethnic, class, lingual and cultural affiliations.

It is well known also for its geographical and climate diversity.

For this reason, it was once called the "Jewel in the Crown of the British Empire".

However, it won its dependence from the British Empire on 150 August, 1947 thanks to the non-violence policy adopted by "Gandhi".

He turned the civil disobedience into a weapon stronger than the cannons of great Powers.

Since then, India became a rising Power.

It managed through its own means to create social equality and political consensus according to civilized principles.

Thus Indians used English language that united them when they were separated by languages, sects, religions, beliefs and nationalities.

They also adopted the democratic system.

India chose the Irately of self-reliance as an approach to manage the national economy, and consequently, it witnessed a rapidly increasing development due to the liberal economic reforms.

In this way, India emerged as one of the most attractive countries to direct foreign investment.

The rise of India became a fact confirmed by reports, researches and scientific gaudies.

India occupies an eminent geopolitical and strategic position in South Asia region.

This gives its regional and international relations a special significance.

The relations between India and the Gulf, especially commercial relations, are ancient.

Since the independence of India and declaring the independence of Gulf countries from the British protection, those relations expenenced a notable progress in various fields.

The exitance of a large Indian community in the Gulf has a major role in documenting the relations of both sides.

Indians work in various sectors throughout Gulf countries and take part in accelerating development in those countries.

The reciprocal visits of senior officials have also helped in developing and expanding those relations.

The aim of this research is to touch on the Indian-Gulf relations through the following elements : Political and diplomatic relations.

Economic relations.

Cultural and academic relations.

Military relations.

Humanitarian relations.
