The study aims to the performance evaluating of the Libyan Insurance sector by use Standards of financial solvency derived from international regulations and previous studies , and to achieve the goal of this research which has used deductive descriptive approach in the collection and analysis of financial data which related Standards of financial solvency for Libyan insurance companies from 2016 to 2018.

The study concluded the financial solvency ratios of Libyan insurance companies are within the limits of International rates, which are the solvency ratio on the total, the financial solvency ratio on the net, the liquidity rates, the retention rate, the cost rate and the structural rates, but the profitability rate and the adequacy rate of technical allocations for the net retained premiums are not good, .The most important recommendations of the study is the necessity to urge Researchers to provide more research with models aimed to the performance evaluating of theLibyan Insurance sector, the most important of which is the CARAMEL model.
