The current study aims to identify the most important effects of social media sites in raising awareness of the danger of epidemics before and after their spread, "the Corona epidemic as a model", and to know the most important preventive and treatment methods and methods that they used, and to reveal how to develop social media to make the most of them in preventing the spread of epidemics.

Corona as a model, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive and analytical approach was used, and this study used a questionnaire tool to collect data, which was applied to a Intentional ysample of (180) students from the Saudi Electronic University branch in Jazan, who use the most used social media, including (Twitter, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube), and one of the most important findings of the study is that the most important effects of educating societies about the danger of epidemics before and after their spread through social media are their contribution to knowing new epidemics early, knowing their severity, and providing Its pioneers with information about the symptoms of new epidemics, and its contribution to spreading a culture of awareness of the benefit of home isolation and quarantine for the infected.

Social communication to raise awareness of the danger of epidemics is by opening accounts for official health authorities and channels on various social media, and by publishing videos on these platforms with targeted awareness-raising content targeting social media users of all age groups, helping to prevent epidemics, and holding accountable the transgressors of the famous social networking sites Who provide content contrary to medical protocols that contribute to preventing epidemics.

The study recommended opening official platforms for health institutions on modern social networking sites, establishing departments that manage them, providing them with correct information and updating them, and using them to raise awareness of the danger of epidemics and consider them as a quick source of correct information.
