Tourism is linked to cultural heritage which incarnate civilization of humanity at its extraordinary times.

Darfur is a vivid portrait signifying an image of diverse cultural heritage since it was an independent kingdom with its indigenous languages and virgin antiquities ranging from the prehistoric epochs to the middle ages.

Such activities have efficient role in economy.

It is noteworthy that Darfur has many ancient archaeological sites that have cultural connections with the Nile Valley and North Africa.

The essential problem shows that these sites have gained no attention in scientific explorations due to focus on Northern Sudan since the independence in addition to the insecurity in the aftermath of outbreak of the humanitarian crisis.

Current challenges are due to increasing risks of loss of antiquities because of mining processes and lack of pre archaeological survey planning prior to distribution of land for various purposes.

One finding concludes that marginalization of scientific explorations take place in Darfur.

This paper is to analyze the ongoing programs by the Center for Darfur Heritage at the University of Nyala, the Regional Center for Study, Preservation and Conservation of Cultural Property and the British Council in the rehabilitation of tourism infrastructure in Darfur.
