The Red Sea comes in the top of the list of global seas, with its strategic location in the Mediterranean between the two continents, Asia and Africa, in addition to the fact it is a major link between east and west of the world, and an important convergence for international trade lines since ancient times.

A great attention has been given to this sea in the ancient world as it represented the way to reach the East’s trade, and that is what prompted us to present this paper, which aims the following: - shedding the light on the economic strengths of the Red Sea.

- Creating a futuristic vision drawn from the Red Sea s economic position throughout history.

- Drawing a joint plan among the Red Sea basin countries to renew the old commercial centers of these countries.

- Revealing the significance of the economic union among the Islamic countries of the Red Sea Basin.

- This paper has come to the conclusion of several results, including: - The economic union among the countries of the Red Sea Basin will contribute greatly to restoring its commercial position which it has lost since the discovery of Cape of Good Hope in the 15th century AD.

- The history of the ports of the Islamic countries of the Red Sea Basin is the derivative origin of the economic growth of these ports.

- The geographical potential of the Islamic Red Sea basin ports and islands can be developed.

- Finally, this study aspires to be an attempt to unite the Islamic world to confront the danger of colonialism that is hovering around it.
