This paper aimed to study the environment the red sea basin, which is considered one of the richest marine environments with its marine, plant and animal creatures, and to know the sources of its natural ingredients, and to know its most important environmental problems, which are part of its security and the security of the riparian states, and contribute to developing a vision to preserve it.

The descriptive approach to the environmental system was followed, and the inductive analytical approach to reach the sources of pollution and the affecting environmental problems.

The most important results from the geography of the countries of the Red Sea basin are: The Red Sea was famous for the abundance of its natural and natural resources, its beauty and diversity, purity and water serenity, and the multiplicity of topographical features on its coasts.

Pollution threats remained one of the biggest challenges facing the Red Sea environment.

The environment of the Red Sea is one of the warmest regions of the world, and because of the high temperatures and shallow waters near the beaches, the percentage of water salinity increases and ranges between 42–37 parts of 1000, and in addition to the slow renewal of its water, it keeps pollutants longer periods, and leads to the destruction of coral reefs and biological components.

The importance of coral reefs lies in it hosts many types of marine life, as it protects them from waves and marine currents, and helps in their reproduction and growth.

Various beverage activities, such as operations related to maritime transport, in ports and practices ships harmful to the environment of residential, industrial and tourist facilities, and the processes of generating and energy industry, in violation of environmental conditions, are an important source of pollution of the red sea environment.

Collective respect for the countries of the red sea basin, and coordination with its plan to implement environmental controls and international and national laws for the safety of the marine environment, is necessary to stop environmental degradation in the Red Sea basin .
