The research deals with a unique phenamenon in which the Euphrates river differs from the tigris .the river is characterized by its many branchings which gradually come to unite with each other forming the main river again.

This phenomvor is known as the arastomosing river which is a charasterstic of heavily -loaded river especially when passing through areas unstable tectonically this type of river change their areas status from time to time, in this case they divide up and make sub _branches within the river basin it self in this research a like has been drawn between this phenomenor and the pherwenor of tectonic moving activity of geological structures under surface in the sedimentary plain by means of the basic convulsion (rocking ) followed by (precipitation deposition ) and its role froming this phenomenon but less than what is cansed by tectonic activation.
