This research aims to measure the effect of the indicators of banking development on economic growth in Algeria during the period (1990-2019).

Private CRD, the assets of commercial banks to the total assets of commercial banks plus the assets of the Central Bank (ABBG).

And employing a dependent variable represented in: per capita growth rate as a representative of economic growth (PIBPt).

The results of the pilot study showed a positive impact of the indicators of banking development represented in: bank loans provided to the private sector, the rate of growth of the money supply, the ratio of commercial bank assets to the total assets of the commercial bank and the central bank’s assets on economic growth, whether in the long or short term.

However, their impact in the long term was greater than it is in the short run.

As for Granger's test of causality, there is a single causal relationship that goes from bank loans to the private sector to economic growth.
