This research aims to study intellectual awareness in dealing with social media.

The methodological approach taken in this research is a mixed methodology based on description, induction and analysis.

The research has been divided into an introduction, three sections and a conclusion.

The introduction touches upon the research problem, its significance, objectives, and reasons for selecting it, the adopted approach, previous studies, its procedures, and its structure.

The first section introduces the concept of social media networks, their types, and their positive and negative effects.

As for the second section, it examines the role of social media in destabilizing intellectual security.

The third section deals with the features and foundations that lead to the promotion of intellectual awareness.

The research findings suggest that enhancing intellectual awareness is one of the most effective ways to protect society intellectually, culturally and doctrinally, and that achieving intellectual and doctrinal awareness in Islamic societies is a religious and a patriotic obligation as well as a common responsibility between the government and all sections of society.
