الملخص العربي

هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على تأثير البنية التحتية على النمو الاقتصادي و الاجتماعي في العقبة، و تم اعتماد المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال جمع المعلومات من الميدان و الجهات المعنية و الاستبيان الذي سيتم تصميمه خصيصًا لهذه الدراسة، و تم توزيع استبيان إلكتروني بشكل عشوائي على سكان العقبة، ثم تحليل البيانات التي تم جمعها بواسطة برنامج (SPSS) الإصدار 20، و خلصت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود تأثير قوي و إيجابي للبنية التحتية على النمو الاقتصادي و الاجتماعي، و تطوير نوعية الحياة و رضا السكان في مدينة العقبة، و أن العقبة لا تزال مدينة نامية تفتقر إلى بعض مرافق و خدمات البنية التحتية، و التي مع توفرها ستؤدي حتما إلى زيادة النمو الاقتصادي و الاجتماعي و بالتالي تحقيق التقدم، كما يجب على المسؤولين في العقبة العمل بجد لجذب القطاع الخاص للاستثمار في مجال البنية التحتية و تقديم التسهيلات لتطوير الشراكات بين القطاعين العام و الخاص ؛ بسبب محدودية الموارد المالية، كما أن المسؤولين بحاجة أيضا إلى إجراء المزيد من الدراسات لتحديد احتياجات البنية التحتية للعقبة و تحديد أولويات الاستثمار فيه.

الملخص الإنجليزي

This study aimed to identify the impact of Infrastructure on Economic and Social Growth in Aqaba.

The descriptive-analytical approach was adopted by collecting information from the field and the concerned authorities.

Questionnaire was designed in this study to investigate the influence of Infrastructure on Economic and Social Growth in Aqaba.

An electronic questionnaire was distributed randomly to residents of Aqaba to reach more people.

The data was collected and analyzed by (SPSS) version 20 software.

The results showed that there is a strong and positive impact of infrastructure on economic and social growth, development of quality of life and population satisfaction.

Also, the result emphasized that Aqaba is still a developing city which suffer from lacks of many infrastructure facilities and services.

Based on the result, it is recommended to improve the infrastructure which will inevitably increase economic and social growth in Aqaba.

The local and national authorities must work hard to attract the private sector to invest in the field of infrastructure and provide facilities and encourage the partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Also, the local and national authorities need to conduct more studies to determine the shortage of infrastructure needs in Aqaba and pointing the priorities for infrastructure investment.
