This article aims to address the Islam’s approach to celebrations, and get to know the types of celebrations, identifying the allowed and disallowed of these celebrations such as marriages, Eids and other occasions.

It also pinpoints the methods of celebrations, and types of Muslims’ participation in these celebrations in, for instance, congratulating, praying for and helping them.

All these are done to achieve the intentions of Sharia like confirming affection, harmony, and making others happy.

The study also discusses the types of celebration distinguishing between the allowed and disallowed, all under the Sharia provisions.

The researcher concludes that Islam has its own approach to celebrations which has to be followed by Muslims.

Celebrations are of different types, some are allowed, some are good to be carried out, and others are disallowed.
