The study aimed to identify a sample of Palestinian university students to assess the degree of the human sciences ’contribution to political education, as well as to reveal whether there are statistically significant differences at a significance level (α≤ 0.05) between the averages of the study sample.

This degree is due to variables: (sex, residential area, specialization).

To achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive approach, where he applied the study tool consisting of (50) items on (618) male and female students from the largest Palestinian universities in the governorates of Gaza, who were chosen by a simple random method.

The results showed that the overall degree of appreciation for the contribution of teaching the humanities to political education was (68.43%), where the field (culture and components of the political self) ranked first with relative weight (72.09%).

and the field (awareness and political participation) ranked second with relative weight (64.76%), and that there are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample's estimate of the degree of the contribution of teaching human sciences in Palestinian universities to political education due to the variable of residential area and gender, while differences were found due to the variable of specialization in favor of (Sharia sciences).

In light of the results, the researcher recommended the necessity of reformulating the content of some human sciences in Palestinian universities, including the problems of society and political awareness of rights and duties, and paying attention to the methods and methods of teaching human sciences that work to develop patriotism, such as the use of role-playing, simulation and modeling.
