This article aims to address the topic of what Abu Dawd Sulaiman ben Najah did not mention in his book “Mukhtasar Altabin lihijaa Altanzil” but mentioned by Aldani in his book “Almuqne’ fi ma’rifah marsoum masahif Alamsar” and by Alshatibi in his poem “atrab alqasaid fi asna almaqasid”.

The study includes an introduction and two sections.

The first section introduces the authors- Abu Dawd, Aldani and Alshatibi, and a brief introduction to their books mentioned above.

The second section tackles the main topic of the study, i.e.

what is not mentioned by Abu Dawd.

The conclusion presents the results of the study: 1.

The nonmentioned words are 16.

The mentioned words by Alshatibi and Aldani are 7.

There is a difference in approach between Abu Dawd and Aldani, the former divides his book according to Mushaf and recitation, while the latter divides his book according to chapters.

Abu Dawd’s approach in not repeating the aforementioned words indicates that he did not mention many words mentioned by Aldani.
