The research dealt with the indefinite initiation in the poetry of Al-Sharif Murtada and it proposed the grammarians opinion about the justifications for initiating with the indefinite, and their disputes over delineating these justifications.

Some of the grammarians confined the justifications to the fulfilment of the purposefulness of the speech; some attributed them to the specialization and generalization whereas the other grammarians were interested in tracing the justifications, discovering forty-two ones in total.

The poetry of Al-Sharif Al-Murtada was replete with several examples of the indefinite initiation.

The study was concerned with investigating the positions of the indefinite initiation in the poetry of Al-Sharif Al-Murtada, which were seventeen justifications for the initiation.

Moreover, the study asserted the majority of the justifications explicated by the grammarians.

The study reported a set of results, and the most important one was that the indefinite initiation is allowed whenever the speech is purposeful regardless of the justifications which were elaborately elucidated by the grammarians.

The Murtada's Collection of Poems were rich in the grammatical structures that were in conformity with the rules on which the grammarians agreed.

Notwithstanding that, Al-Mortada, at some positions, adhered to some preponderant opinions of the other grammarians.

That would enhance the notability of these opinions in the grammar criteria, taking in consideration Al-Sharif Al-Murtada having lived around the Ages of Quoting.
