This study aimed to investigate the evolution paratext and to underpin al-Hariri’s contribution to the development of this art.

al-Hariri’s paratexts are filled with many meanings mixed with irony sometimes and humor.

they also carry religious and moral values.

the rich meaning indicates t al Hariri’s deep style and his rich meanings.

this rich meaning also indicates that al Hariri is good at using the various rhetorical images with different meanings.

this has enriched the linguistic dictionary with new words with variety of meanings.

using the historical descriptive approach, the study has arrived at a number of conclusions.

most notably, paratext is one of the patterns of prose which is rich in words and meanings which in turn has enriched the linguistic dictionaries.

moreover, al-Hariri has substantially contributed to the development of paratexts which bring about new styles.
