This work, which falls within the field of discourse analysis, aims to examine the notion of ethos in political discourse of a diplomatic nature and this via a political speech delivered as part of an official visit.
carried out by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika in France in 2000.
Taking the context into account is very important in this analysis.
To this end, recourse to the prior image of Algerian-French relations, as well as that of the political speaker is useful given that the primary intention of a Head of State, delivering a political speech abroad, is to build a self-image suited to the type of audience.
Our objective is to explore the different discursive strategies put into practice by the political speaker in order to build a discursive ethos.
الملخص FRE
Ce travail qui s'inscrit dans le champ de l'analyse du discours, a pour ambition d'examiner la notion de d'ethos dans le discours politique à caractère diplomatique et cela via une allocution politique prononcée dans le cadre d'une visite officielle effectuée par le président algérien Abdelaziz Bouteflika en France en 2000.
La prise en compte du contexte est très importance dans cette analyse.
À cet effet, le recours à l'image préalable des relations algéro-française, ainsi que celle du locuteur politique se révèle utile étant donné que l'intention première d'un chef d'État, prononçant un discours politique à l'étranger, est de construire une image de soi adapté au type d'auditoire.
Notre objectif est d'explorer les différentes stratégies discursives mises en pratique par le locuteur politique en vue d'édifier un ethos discursif.
