The main objective of the study is to investigate the impact of the human resources on the strategic adaptation, further, it aims to analyze the moderating role of strategic vigilance.

For the methodology, the strategic adaptation was measured through the dimensions of adopting strategic change, interaction with the environment, and strategic synergy.

Further, the resilience of human resources was measured based on the dimensions of job flexibility, skill adaptation, and behavior flexibility.

The study population entailed the workers in the three Jordanian Islamic banks who holds the positions of general manager, deputy general director, assistant general manager, and department director.

The final sample size is (146) respondents from all levels.

The study results indicated that there is a significant impact of human resource flexibility through the dimensions of functional flexibility, skill adaptation, and behavior flexibility on strategic adaptation in all its dimensions, adoption of strategic change, interaction with the environment, and strategic synergy.

They also indicate the moderating effect of the strategic vigilance in selected Islamic banks.

Considering this, the study recommended expanding the scope of research to include all commercial and foreign banks operating in Jordan.

It also recommended studying other variables, such as the dynamic capabilities of managers and the trend towards internationalization.
