Islamic scholars gave water a special consideration through enacting detailed rules, and they didn’t focus only on doctrine, they also took engineering and architecture, innovating in ways of distributing water in cities and agriculture.

Researcher depends on a descriptive analytical method, he analyses shariaa scripts on water and derives rulings out of it, he also uses inductive method in reading these scripts.

Through this, we should determine rules and ethics in dealing with water, following the Sunnah, I saw that is should contribute with this research titled as: rules on distributing common rivers in the prophetic Sunnah and its impact on water security, to clarify practical rules of water distribution in Sunnah and its impact on evenly distributed water, and we concluded.

1-Sunnah has determined the priorities of water use according to its purpose, therefore it prioritized some over others regarding the cases and circumstances, giving high priority to human use.

2-Sunnah made improper use and polluting water resources, it ordered the rational use of water resources.

3- Sunnah has set rules to distribute water to users, most important of which is the higher user and first who reaches water, which help in making use of common water and helps solve disputes over water use.

4- Sunnah has set rules to common benefit of water which are: not pollute water, cooperate to protect water resources.
