The present research revolves around verifying the impurity of water that a person found and wanted to perform ablution with, but he/she does not know whether it is impure or pure but found an underage who told him/her that it was impure.

Who is this underage? Is he/she recognising or otherwise? It he/she to be believed? Is it any underage or is it that particular underage to be believed? Or is it just a recognising underage that is to be believed? Thus, whose saying is to be accepted and whose saying is not to be? Likewise, if a non-believer tells of water impurity, should he/she be believed or disbelieved; or should that water be left and hence tayammum is performed? If a person performs ablution with it and then finds out that the water is impure, does he/she repeat his/her ablution after a disbeliever informs of that, or shall ablution be repeated? All of the aforementioned becomes clear from the permissible and fruitful dispute among the jurists regarding the acceptance of the report of an underage or a disbeliever of the impurity of water.
