The purpose of this study is to identify the role of Brainstorming in the strategic innovation reinforcement in Ministry of Water Resources/ Center of Studies and Engineering Designs.

The analytical method was adopted to deal with its variables.

The problem of the study lies in the extent of awareness of working personnel for importance and role of Brainstorming they have, and how it can be highlighted and invested to achieve creativity in their work through the perpetuation strategic innovation capacity by increasing their organizational learning and strengthen team cohesion, The importance of the research arises from the importance of the current and future management requirements which aim to research and invest the mental activities of the workers in Center of Studies and Engineering designs through Brainstorming sessions to contribute in the decision making process, It is one of the few studies which dealt with the role of the Brainstorming and its impact on the strategic innovation, and subject it in an Iraqi organization to the knowledge of the process.

in order to benefit from it and its adoption as a guide to the senior management and subordinates and personnel working for the importance of brainstorming and its impact in achieving strategic innovation in the work of the organization investigatedThis can be done through measuring and analyzing the relationship and the impact between brainstorming as the independent variable and strategic innovation as the dependent variable, by relying on the questionnaire as a tool to collect the data related to the research variables, which applications were distributed to (43) form on the research sample (randomly sample) out of 270 employees representing the research community and then the data were processed statistically using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) program.

The researcher reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which indicates that Brainstorming lies in the investment of collective thinking and screening available ideas about the problem after completing the session for creative ideas which are invested to achieve the objectives of the organization thus achieving strategic innovation, reflecting possibility to benefit of this technique in center of studies and engineering designs and its adoption as a guide senior management and subordinates and work according to regulation organizational structure which regulates the work and away from individual decisions.
