From this research, the researcher aims to identify the nature of the term “book poets” in ancient literary and critical works, due to its frequent occurrence in conjunction with many writers who combined their creativity between systems and writing of various kinds, but this term is one of the terms that have not received much research and study in the modern era, by clarifying its features and what it aims at, and monitoring the frameworks of its development starting from the emergence of the term to its prevalence and stability.

the researcher relied on the inductive and analytical approach of the term poets’ book, as well as adhered to the limitations of the same method in the exposure to the prose and poetic productions of ibn Abi al-Khasal in order to clarify the features of creativity among those who had the mechanisms of pairing between the two parts of creativity ; organized and scattered.

the researcher reached a set of results, the most important of which are : that the term poets' book has been known by critics since ancient times, and they have added it to a group of poets since the pre-Islamic era, but this term, like other terms, has gone through several stages, and its nature and determinants have been determined since the end of the Umayyad era, and it has multiplied in the use of classifiers at the beginning of the first Abbasid era.
