The mevlevi is one of the famous Sufi celebrations, founded by sheikh Jalal al-din al-Rumi as an expression of his longing for his professor Shams al-Din al-Tabrizi, this method is based on the rotating dance; where the performers who are called “Darwishs” perform a circular dance, during which they use specific costumes, signs, gestures and colors, all of which symbolize certain things.

in the end, it forms-as a whole-a text and a speech that the performers of this dance convey to the audience.

in this way, it does not differ from what modern critical studies call the image theatre, whereby the mevlevi convey a text and speech to the spectators by the image which is formed from certain costumes, gestures, specific movements and signs.

then, the mevlevi dance becomes a graphic discourse like other speeches expressing the image.

also, its attention to the actor, the text, the costumes, and the place of the performance, makes it adjacent to what is called theatrical scenography in the post-modern theater, where the mevlevi performance as well as the theatrical requires furnishing the text, the actor, the place of the performance, and considering to the chronological precedence of the mevlevi of these postmodern terms, it can be considered as an establishment or a pioneer of the image discourse and the scenography of the theater, and this research comes to try to reveal the extent of the connection of the mevlevi mystic dance with these postmodern terme.

Le mevlevi est l'un des célèbres groupes soufis, fondé par cheikh Jalal al-Din al-Rumi, comme une expression de son désir pour son professeur Shams al-Din al-Tabrizi, il est basé sur la danse rotative; où les disciples exécutent une danse circulaire, ils utilisent des vêtements, des signes, des gestes et des couleurs spécifiques qui symbolisent certaines choses, ils forment enfin un texte et un discours que les chorégraphes transmettent aux spectateurs, ce n'est pas différent de ce que les études critiques modernes appellent discours d'image, parce que c'est un discours pictural à son tour, et son attention portée à l'acteur, au scénario, aux vêtements et au lieu de la performance, l'a rendu très pertinent, dans ce qu'on appelle la scénographie théâtrale dans le théâtre postmoderne.

au vu de la préséance chronologique de ces termes postmodernes, ils peuvent être considérés comme la consolidation ou la prescription du discours de l'image et de la scénographie du théâtre, cette recherche tente de découvrir dans quelle mesure la danse soufie mevlevi est liée à ces termes postmodernes, nous appliquerons la méthode sémiotique comme méthode procédurale qui dépasse les frontières du mot à la lecture au-delà des mots de signes, symboles et couleurs.
