Summary of the researchThe current research aimed to identify: Determinants of exploratory reconnaissance among fifth-grade scientific students in the subject of biologyAs well as revealing the differences in the determinants of exploratory reconnaissance among students of the fifth biological sciences, and to achieve this, a survey question was directed to a sample of fifth-grade scientific students, whose number reached (50) students, to clarify the most important determinants that stand in front of their pursuit of exploratory reconnaissance.

Berlyne theory was also adopted and through Therefore, four main determinants were set, represented (complexity, ambiguity, novelty and surpriseAfter defining it, a scale was constructed for it that included five paragraphs for each specific and alternatives to respond (they apply to me completely and apply to me sometimes and never apply to me) and it was presented to (10) of the arbitrators, having obtained their agreement with all of them and at a rate of (100% ), then it underwent statistical analysis by applying it to the sample of statistical analysis (300) male and female students to verify the distinction of the paragraphs and the relevance of each paragraph to the determinant to which it belongs, as well as the researcher verified the availability of psychometric properties in the tool of validity and stability as he extracted the apparent validity and validity of the construction.

The final version was based on a sample of the final analysis of the results of the research (300) students, who were randomly selected and in a proportional manner, and the data were statistically analyzed using the T-test for one sample and the T-test for two independent samples.

The relative weight and rank for each determinant were also extracted, and it showed the prevalence of the determinants of ambiguity, surprise, complexity and novelty among fifth-grade students In the subject of biology, it was also found that there are statistically significant differences for the differences between males and females in determinants (complexity and ambiguity) towards males, while the difference was for the determinant of suddenness towards females, while it was not clear that there were statistically significant differences in the determinant (grandmother) and the research came out with a set of recommendations and proposals.
