الملخص الإنجليزي

The current study concluded that the quality of drinking water in Al-Muthanna Governorate and its suitability for human consumption was evaluated based on measuring the concentrations of a number of environmental indicators represented by a group of basic elements represented (hydrogen ion PH, total dissolved salts TDS, turbidity TUR, total hardness TH, calcium Ca, Magnesium Mg, Sodium Na, chloride Cl, Sulfates SO4) through the water refining plants located in the administrative units in Al-Muthanna Governorate, comparing their concentrations with the value of the health standard.

The results of the study showed a deterioration in the quality of drinking water in Al-Muthanna Governorate and its unfit for human consumption, as the concentrations of most of the studied elements exceeded the safe healthy limits of total dissolved salts and sodium, while other elements showed that it remained within the safe limits, such as hydrogen ion and magnesium element.
