The current research aspires to determine the features of the crisis of receiving the modern Arabic poetry, and this crisis is almost clear through the scene presented by the Arabic cultural reality, since the appearance of poetry divans has decreased and the sales of Arabic and translated international novels have increased, so has the time of poetry finished? And how will high values and ideals be anchored in the society without this sublime art in structure and formation? Then isn't poetry the spirit of language and without it the language becomes a wasteland or subjected to desertification? Thus, poetry is the metaphorical form of the language, so how does a language live without its metaphor? And by attempting to eliminate the nation spirit represented by its poetry and enting it, or marginalizing it or listening to the unjust saying: that 'poetry has died', all of which was paving the way for chaos to appear in the Arabic life; for if you eliminate one of the most important channels which transmits and spreads beauty, i.

the poetry channel, that means that you made the materialistic overcomes the spiritual; therefore, the spirit of the nation will dry and its good values will also die, allowing the appearance of skin eruption and diseases represented by the extremist movements which appeared in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

Hence, the danger and the importance of this topic emerge, that we should stand at the most important factors which made the Arabic poetry retreat from its leading and pioneer role in the life of people, and the meaning that sticks to the sublime and eternal human values.

The study addresses poetic texts which belong to well-known Arab poets, making use of the reception method; as the study addresses Arab poets who belong to different origins and culture, enlightened by conversing with the ones who are still alive.

Finally, the study sums up the conclusion as the following: 1- The modern poet grew isolated from his audience due to his culture and his aspiration to build a poem of mythical, symbolic, and dramatic inclination in which the poet's voice is distributed by different voices.

This isolation can be seen from outside only; because the modern poet is not far away from his nation's issues, yet the coding and the conveyance remoteness resulted in vagueness, making the links cut between him and the reader.

2- The modern poetry is supposed to be received by us in a different way that is open to interpretation; so the word has two functions, an expressive function and a symbolic one, as the imagination here recreates what is lost of images that it brings from the depths of the self which was pained by exile, but the Arabic reader wants to keep the poem in the expressing stage.

If the Arabic reader transfers the poem to the symbolic stage, he often keeps himself in distance from the poem or he cannot complete its reading.
