الملخص EN

This study discusses the process of electronic litigation in civil courts in terms of advantages and disadvantages through application of the concept of electronic litigation on a number of courts in the United Arab Emirates and then we shall present the model of the virtual court.

In this study a scientific method shall be followed in research, analysis and evaluation in order to reach results and provide recommendations that fit the importance of the subject.

Dealing with the money of litigation using the remote electronic systems represents special attraction due the simplicity in filing cases, submitting requests and paying fees through electronic means despite the presence of some local and overseas complications.

In addition, some problems may arise because of these complications during the proceedings of electronic cases, namely information security and electronic dealings.

Furthermore, the study addresses the question whether or not the UAE legislation has solved and avoided those problems or it is suffering from certain lack which should be referred to and shown, especially in relation to the issue of modern remote litigation legislations such as Resolution no.: (260) of 2019 concerning the procedural guide for regulating litigation by using electronic means and telecommunication in civil procedures.

The study is also important as it keeps abreast of technical developments and the associated electronic transactions in various fields of within the United Arab Emirates.

It explores the question of settling cases using latest electronic technologies in a practical investigation that involves a number of courts in the United Arab Emirates and some other countries with a view to reaching realistic results.
