The increasing importance of gas stations at the present time as a result of the increasing population and areal growth, and the multiplicity of functional activities within the geographical space of Baquba district, this led to the selection of gas stations as a subject for study in order to reveal the level of efficiency of the functional performance of gas stations, and their geographical distribution measured by the most important controls and factors that contributed In its establishment and related problems, the study dealt with the geographical distribution of fuel filling stations in Baquba district, which numbered (37) stations for the year 2019.

The study also dealt with the structure of the stations, knowing the amount of daily exchange, storage capacity, and the difference between one station and another.

The distribution of the stations was studied according to the size and density of the population, and according to the urban centers, and the traffic movement and its density.

The percentage of government stations in Baquba district reached (8% ), and the constructed stations reached (92% ), according to the data of Table (1).
