The research aims to show the importance of government spending and its relationship to the education sector in Iraq, with an indication of the role that the sector plays after increasing government spending on it and the extent to which future goals are achieved in all economic and social aspects, considering it the main tool to advance reality and the future, as well as analyzing the relationship of government spending indicators on education and its role with indicators The education sector in Iraq, and it was concluded that government spending on education in Iraq continued to increase, but the Iraqi government allocated a low percentage to the education sector in its general budget, similar to the rest of the sectors, as the proportion of government spending on the education sector did not exceed (% 15.33) to the total government spending And it did not exceed (% 5.12) to the gross domestic product in (2019), which is the highest percentage during the study period in Iraq.
