This study aimed at investigating and analyzing minaret as one of the elements, its formation from the aesthetic, artistic, and decorative aspects.

as well as the aesthetic, and artistic basic aspects found in the mosque architecture and relating it to the Islamic architecture in Sudan that are associated with the aesthetic values of carved decoration with its forms be it plants or engineering or calligraphic that were designed or executed through relief sculpture on the outer surface of the cylindrical minaret .therefore, the study sample comprised of all the elements of relief sculpture on the body o the minaret but a non-probability purposive sample was chosen of the minaret that represented all the features of the study sample under the study.

the researcher adopted the descriptive method for constructing the theoretical framework of the study about the aesthetic formation of relief sculpture in the minaret the research samples were analyzed.

then the study sculpture gave an impression that there is aesthetic value of the general formation of the minaret, and the study revealed that rhyme and frequent use of lines in the general formation in terms of its form and content have created the engineering aspect that paved the way to aesthetic value.
