The study highlights the social problems of Iraqi society and the way they are projected through particular cartoons presented by Al-Sharqiya TV channel.

Following analytical, statistical, and descriptive approaches, the study examines particular series of cartoons, namely Al-Atak 1, Habazbooz, and Shalash from Al-Tanak neighborhood.

The study concludes that these cartoons are either satirical, or serious, or implies the two means to criticize certain problems related to family disintegration, addiction, and moral deviation.

The results, furthermore, confirms that these cartoons aim at addressing mature people—a matter that is recognized in their symbolic and linguistic tendency to elaborate on social problems related to Iraqi society.
