The research includes five studies on the works of modern poets of various nationalities, they are, in order: Mahmoud Darwish, Najeeb Al-Qusous, Mahmoud Fadil Al-Tal, Saeed Al-Issa, and Nassib Arida.

The research aims to shed light on their lives first, and to clarify the romantic tendency and its manifestations in their poetic texts, secondly.

Romanticism is a phenomenon that draws attention to the poetic body in terms of characteristics, contents, and features.

Thus, the poetic texts are an appropriate representation of the phenomenon of romanticism and its repercussions, and the research relied on the descriptive analytical method.
