The adoption of competences management in university libraries has become imperative in our time due to the inefficient traditional systems and their inability to face various challenges especially modern technologies.

In this context, through this scientific paper, we will address the reality of competences management in Algerian University Libraries and is there an application of the ISO 9001 standard relating to quality.

We took the Central Library of the University of Algiers 2 as model, for that a set of approaches and comparisons were used, and the focus was on the indicators included in the standard related to the topic.

And in order to test these indicators we projected them on the field of our study through the use of methodological tools such as observation and interview.

In addition to the analysis of the latter, which we conducted with the director of the Central Library and the responsible for training at University Presidency level.

Finally, we concluded that there is a partial application of the ISO 9001 standard in the Central Library of the University of Algiers 2.

L'adoption de management des compétences dans les bibliothèques universitaires est devenue un impératif à notre époque, en raison de l'inefficacité des systèmes administratifs traditionnels et de leur incapacité à faire face à divers défis, en particulier les nouvelles technologies.

Dans ce contexte, à travers cet article scientifique, nous aborderons la réalité de management des compétences dans les bibliothèques universitaires algériennes, etest ce que il ya une application de la norme ISO 9001 relative à la qualité.

Nous avons pris la bibliothèque centrale de l'université d'Alger 2 comme modèle.

nous avons projetés les indicateurs inclus dans la norme sur le terrain de notre etude afin de lès testés à travers l'utilisation d'outils méthodologiques tels que l'observation et l'entretien, en plus d'analyser les résultats de ce dernier que nous avons fait avec la directrice de la bibliothèque centrale et la responsable du service formation au niveau du rectorat de l’universitaire, à la fin,notre étude a montré qu’il y a une application partielle d'ISO 9001 à la Bibliothèque centrale de l'université d'Alger 2.
