The current study aimed to reveal the "level of social phobia and its relationship to academic adaptation among An-Najah National University students" in the light of several demographic variables (gender, academic level, place of residence, specialization, college).

It also aimed to identify the relationship between social phobia and academic adaptation among the students of An-Najah National University, the (Raulin Wee, 1994) scale was used for social phobia and the (Henry Borrow, 1949) scale for academic adaptation.

The study adopted the descriptive correlative approach.

The study sample consisted of (121) male and female students from An-Najah National University, and the sample members were chosen by the intentional non-probability method.

There is an inverse correlation between social phobia and academic adaptation, which means that there is an effect of social phobia on academic adaptation among An-Najah National University students, and the dimension (maturity of goals and level of ambition) was the most affected compared to the other dimensions.

The demographic variables (gender, level of study, place of residence, specialization, college) do not affect the level of both social phobia and academic adaptation among An-Najah National University students.

The current study was conducted in different universities to find out other variables that may contribute to an increase in the level of social phobia and academic adaptation, and to conduct counseling and treatment programs to identify the concept of social phobia more broadly and reduce its level in various disciplines and faculties.
