The current research aims to know (the effect of the six-dimensional strategy (PDEODE) in the acquisition of rhetorical concepts and the development of critical thinking among literary fifth grade students in the subject of rhetoric and application) by verifying the validity of the following null hypotheses: - 1.

There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied rhetoric and application using the six-dimensional strategy and the control group students who studied rhetoric and application in the usual way in the post test of critical thinking.2.

There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied rhetoric and application using the six-dimensional strategy and the control group students who studied rhetoric and application in the usual way in the rhetorical concepts acquisition test.

The researcher applied the experimental method with partial control, and the number of the study sample was (60) students, with (30) students in the experimental group and (30) students in the control group, who were chosen randomly from Diyala Preparatory School for Boys in Baqubah District, Diyala Governorate, the researcher conducted Equality in the variable of the students' chronological age calculated in months and degrees of the previous year for the Arabic language, the academic achievement of the parents, and the tribal test of intelligence, as the researcher studied six topics in the experiment for the subject of rhetoric and application for the fifth literary class.

rhetoric, The researcher prepared (12) models of teaching plans, and for each group (6) a teaching plan, and the researcher built two tests for acquiring rhetorical concepts and developing critical thinking for rhetoric for fifth-grade literary students.

The researcher verified the validity and stability of the two tests, as well as their psychometric characteristics (difficulty coefficient, discriminatory power, and the effectiveness of wrong alternatives).

The researcher applied the two tests to the experimental and control groups at the end of the experiment, which lasted (12) weeks.

The researcher adopted unified statistical methods in the educational package of the spss program (issuance 22), as follows (the T-test for two independent and interrelated samples, the difficulty coefficient, the paragraph discrimination equation, and the effectiveness of false alternatives, Couder-Richardson equation), and after correcting the answers and processing the data statistically, the researcher reached to The result can be summed up as follows: It outperforms the students of the experimental group who studied with the six-dimensional strategy (PDEODE) over the students of the control group who studied by the traditional method, as in the first hypothesis, the result of which is an escalating growth in the development of the scores of the experimental group students between the pre and post test and in favor of the posttest acquisition of rhetorical concepts.

The result of the second hypothesis can be summed up by the occurrence of growth among the students of the control group, and there is a difference between the pre- and post-tests in the critical thinking development test.

In light of the results of the current research, the researcher recommends the necessity of using the six-dimensional strategy (PDEODE) in teaching rhetoric and application for its great impact on acquiring rhetorical concepts and developing critical thinking.
