The current study analyzes Percy Bysshe Shelley’s A Song: Men of England stylistically, as an example of revolutionary poetry, in order to outline and explicate the unique features that it exhibits on different linguistic levels.

It also provides an account of the nature of revolutionary, and more generally, political language and poetry.

A brief account of Shelley’s biography is intro-duced in light of its relativity to the outcome of his poetry in general.
